Literature Text

I haven't taken a breath,
Since we last spoke,
And suffocating never felt so good.

My body is screaming,
For much more than air,
I feel weakened,
As I wait to see you again.

I feel myself sinking,
Darkness covers my soul,
My heart is slowing,
As my starved lungs die.

My mind is waiting,
To see you again,
As my body is buried,
I will wait here,
Until you return,
To revive me.
I once read a quote (which is very similar to the first stanza) that inspired me to write this.

Love is always followed by pain, one cannot exist without the other we must remember that, so we will not be so surprised next time.

Any criticism is very welcome.

The first paragraph takes my breath away. It's an amazing start to a story of loving someone to death. When a body can't live without the other part. So sad, but still so strong. Such concentration on wanting someone back that even breathing seems unnecessary. Oh sorry, I'm just speechless :O
